31 years have passed since Khojaly genocide
Khojaly genocide is one of the most tragic pages in the history of Azerbaijan. Tragedy of the 20th century, the Khojaly genocide, is the result of the brutal policy of the armenians. This tragedy is one of the heaviest crimes directed not only against the people of Azerbaijan, also against all humanity. Khojaly genocide ranks with the terrible tragedies of the century such as Khatyn, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Songmi.
On February 26, 1992, an act of genocide was carried out in the city of Khojaly. During the Khojaly genocide, 613 people were killed, 1,000 civilians of various ages were disabled from gunshot wounds. 106 women, 63 young children, 70 old people were killed. 8 families were completely destroyed, 25 children lost both parents, and 130 people lost one of their parents. On the night of the tragedy, 1275 civilians were taken hostage, the fate of 150 of them is still unknown. All this was carried out by the Armenian military with special ruthlessness and unimaginable brutality. We believe that the international community will pay a legal price for this terrible tragedy and the criminals will receive their deserved punishment. The people of Azerbaijan will never forget this brutality committed in Khojaly and will always remember our compatriots who were martyred there.
May God have mercy on all our martyrs!
